Bespoke Disability Awareness Training

We work with the long-term unemployed and disabled in order to explore avenues back into employment.

There are millions of disabled people in the UK, all with individual needs, desires and requirements. It’s also known that a substantial proportion of the population has some care-related responsibility for a disabled person.

The Equality Act defines a disabled person as “someone who has a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his or her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.”

Under this definition, there are many people in the workplace with a disability who are facing both physical and cultural barriers.

A positive attitude towards disability is equally as important as barrier-free physical access. It is vital that you as an employer are confident that the attitude and actions of your colleagues and staff are representative of your organisation’s positive attitude and actions.
